SOS stands for Save Our Soul. It is the voice of the disabled, helpless, orphan and homeless children. According to the available data, SOS villages are established in 131 countries of the world. The number of villages reached 1540 in 2000. More than 6,50,000 people and organizations have been donating fund to run these children villages. SOS children villages have now established a total of 15,667 facilities of different catagories.
Programs like vocational training, ceramic training (pottery work), mother retirement homes, social center for mothers and children, etc. are run in this villages. It does all the necessary things for the betterment and prosperous life of the children.
